Dolphins are interesting since they show that a race can be highly intelligent but yet have no chance at all to create a civilization.

Dolphins are incredibly social animals. Are you trying to argue that because they dont have a civilization yet that there is no way in the course of evolution they could have?

What would they develop so they can shape their environment to suit their "omg we were never in paradise, there was no paradise!" realization/awareness.

Hands? Psionic abilities? Telekinesis? Faith?

Dolphins are not evidential proof. They're close to being sapient, but close is not good enough. High intelligence is only one factor of being sapient, and Dolphins and Whales are just 'very smart animals' until proven otherwise.

It's just as well we could claim using this information that we could meet very smart aliens that are in whatever form, be that humanoid or not. There is no proof.

That's why when we're talking about Sapient Humanoids, we are talking about Science Fiction, not Science. That's why I bring up the generally accepting 'game/movie/comic' view of humanoid sapiency. The only reason you think it's ridiculous is because of your opinion, there is no scientific fact backing any of your statements.

Your argument is as flawed as saying Wizard's can create fire and matter out of nothing, but can't bend space and time because we have no scientific proof they can bend space and time.

The reason I think its ridiculous is because I know all the things that go into making a human look like a human.



But once again I am not argueing against the suspension of disbelief arguement. It really feels like you try to fight these arguements with science (you know nothing about) first and then when that fails fall back on the "its fiction it can be whatever" standby.

Just like what I said: Humpty Dumpty is equal to Sci-fi humaniods. It needed arms and legs and clothing so kids can relate. Sci-fi humanoids are decendants of humpty dumpty.

I have been arguing under the premise of Science Fiction. I can't help if you're confusing my arguments with that of others, who are claiming scientific facts. The times I mention actual facts are when I'm actively disproving others of scientific claims.

Aliens are fictional, like Magic. You can't use science and facts to prove magic. If we're talking about Magic, then we should discuss the context of Magic. We're talking about fictional Alien species, so we should be talking under that context.

What? No. You are wrong. Begining with saying that the human body is not a complex form.

Compared to some other creatures on earth, looking at it from the right angle, its not. We have a head, torso, two arms, two legs. An ant has 3 body pars, 6 limbs, and just as many vital systems as we do. Their exoskeleton is stronger than our skin. Thier senses are better, and they have senses we do not possess. By those standards, we are the less complex creature.

Seriously can people who don't understand how a human body is formed please stop posting as if they do? Go research and then explain as best you can how the four major body cavities are formed and then well talk.

We all know you're studying to become a doctor. Likely with the same bedside manner as Gregory House. Jack Kevorkian, or Josef Mengele. But that doesn't mean you're an authority here on biology. My mother has been working in medicine and genetics for 35 years, so please, get a grip and learn to read. All I said was that Insects are structurally more complex than we are at a superficial level.
