I told you not to play this game dude. All due respect, but despite your connections you're still unable to inform this community of the beta date. You know it, JD knows it, and I hope SCL knows it. That is a right held only by Blizzard. All you're doing is toying with people's minds and emotions.

Unless you're prepared to give facts...I suggest this charade gets halted and only actual news get reported. Because if another month passes without anything official there's gonna be a lot of pissed off fans and it might tarnish reputations.

Facts:
- Blizzard is making progress towards the beta as they do every day.
- There will be an online airing of the Jace Hall show tomorrow and 1 week following. The showtimes are uncertain, but both are rumored to mention Blizzard to some degree.
- Blizzard is holding a conference call with its investors on Feb. 10th where they may or may not discuss the future of SC2.

Let's leave it at that until something else surfaces. Not trying to hurt anybody's feelings, Just trying to be practical here...

GGtemplar, if you wish to share this information, which I'm claiming as false rumor at this time, I advise you to create a thread regarding it in the Offtopic forum (as it's a rumor, not official information at this time) If you are able to provide proof (which I suspect you won't) then post it there and I'll be happy to "move" it up into the main forum.

Anyone who is asking questions of him, let's drop it as well ^_^ If he's willing to answer them, the thread will be made elsewhere.

But is that fair or diplomatic? People are believing you because you've proven to be honest and reputable. But still, you've hardly given proof of JD. For all we know he's an elaborate story concocted on the basis of trust. It's just words, which is the same weapon GG is using.

I request we end this guessing game until Blizzard is ready to man up and give their loyal fans some facts. Until then everybody is on the outside.

Fair enough. If my source ends up reliable then I will create a new thread and until then I'll drop the matter. If yall don't hear from me within a couple days it can be assumed they lied to me and I will be in the darkness plotting my revenge until the appropriate time to strike (trust me, I have a humane way to exact revenge that will make them regret lying if they did)

when you have a blog/website that has ads that racks up money per visitor of your site.. Depending on what kinda deal you get, you may get like.. 1 cent everytime someone visits the page. Lying about beta announcement obviously draws massive interest.. therefor, there may be like 50,000 people visiting in one day.

Assuming your server doesnt crash before then, and you get 1 cent every visitor (including reoccuring visitors).. thats $500 in one day. Now everytime someone clicks on your ad, you get even more money. say 10,000 click on the ad, and each click is worth $1... thats $10,000 more.

(of course all these numbers are examples, you gotta get some really good ad deals which most people cant get)

The average add gives you about .01, you would need alot of add clicks to get rich especially considering 1/100 people actually click adds.

Edit: not to mention you need to get the traffic in the first place.

The only reason I suggested him to take his thread to another post is to separate the conversations and keep the subject on hand. I see the potential of confusion starting already which existed in the first thread. (People were having issues confusing the facts that Spychi and I provided separately and started to think the other person was saying something they weren't) I am merely trying to avoid this from repeating itself.

It's not saying that his allegations are outright false, otherwise, I wouldn't have suggested he create another thread. He could have just as easily said no as it was only a suggestion. Regarding if it's "Fair" or "Diplomatic" is the tone of the message. I could have just as easily stated "Take this talk elsewhere, stay on subject." and left it at that, I feel that's a bit disrespectful though...
