Correction: No, the full game was promised within the first half of 2010. Much like it was promised by the end of 09. As far as I know it still remains 2010 at the moment, no confirmation to think otherwise.

Here's what I have:

Blizzard planning to release SC2 around the first half of 2010
Blizzard saying the beta will last 4-6 months

The wild card here is neither of us can completely trust Blizzard. I do however trust SCL staff when they intentionally incite our interest.

Blizzard never slated first half of 2010. It was always mentioned that they'd aim for 2010, that's it. There has been no official stance on anything more specific than that.

I KNOW WHAT IT IS!

It's INTERNAL COMBUSTION! They finally bought some new vans for Blizzard HQ so they can drive out to purchase 8 pizzas to celebrate the fact that they did a happy dance with a mass installation of servers!


On a different note...
Internal Testing is a large phase of Bnet 2, so that's my current guess. They have it working, or testing, internally, aka within Blizzard HQ.

Nope. They've said specifically that they're aiming for a Q2 2010 release.

Also, Everyone (specifically archer):

Beta not being ready merely means its not out yet. Beta could start tomorrow and technically its "not ready" today. Its just a non-committal phrase that Blizzard clearly likes to use.
