Ya know... I could stop giving these gifts. This isn't a threat persay... but it's kinda stinky to try and do what I can to get these gifts for you and hear a response that points out "I'm disappointed". I can understand that I'm going to be fighting a lot of pessimistic angles on this that's been built up over the last few years. I can also admit that I can understand those angles... All I can do is apologize if anything I provide instigates emotional reactions due to high or low expectations, but this is all I can do at this time. I hope you guys understand no matter what's happening on your own thoughts and emotions.

But it would be nice to see a little more gratefulness regarding this... >.< I don't like hurting people when my intent is to try and help. If it isn't helping you, then my best advise is to take a break from this thread and do things that might, such as a walk outside or blowing the heads off opponents in your favorite RTS.

Perhaps if you didnt started this thread, things would be a lot more smooth. This is exactly the attitude that should not even show it's face. We ALL want the beta. Even Gifted does. If you can't handle a thread that's meant to help, then you really should take a deep breath and step away until we have a for-sure announcement.

I did the same thing several months ago. I was getting too worked up, too angry, so I just told myself to back off and cool off. Maybe it's time you, and anybody who feels like that, did the same.

Yeah, this is more fun than anything else going on for StarCraft 2 right now. It'll be fun to look back at the thread in a few weeks (months, years?) after the Beta has been released and connect the dots as to what all these 'gifts' were about.

As nice as it is to drop a few hints here and there for people who want to see the information, you gotta keep in mind the demographic of this forum: Hardcore fans fatigued by teasers and starving for the beta.

I understand peoples frustration but its not hard; if this thread bothers you, dont read it. simple as that.

to Gifted, I think the "hints" should be alittle less vague, and try to find out specifics about what you can and cant mention, that might make things easier for people. Instead of saying "eight pizzas" try to get permission to actually mention what it relates to, it may not be as much fun to YOU, but to everyone else, it may be more appreciated than beating around the bush all day.

SC2 fans are fragile creatures, after 3 years of "soon".

Right now? This is the most interesting thing to happen since the map editor video at BlizzCon. Frankly, it could be a gif of Dustin Browder swinging his keys while singing the leekspin song and it'd be the most interesting thing to happen since then.

On a final note, I did put a full disclaim in post one regarding this thread and it's potential effect on your emotions, please keep them in check.

To be quite honest your gifts are hardly gifts but simply partial hints about something were not even sure is important but you imply is. You acknowledge that we've been teased about this game for years, so I hope you can understand when you claim to be "in the know" and give us useless teasers about this knowledge, with no promise to a solution except a revelation in the distant future, I think thats hardly something that deserves gratitude. SC:L is not a big community, theres quite a few regular posters here from what I've seen. If you really wanted some gratitude, I think you should share what you know, Pm to select users that participate in the thread maybe, or just not share it. It seems like you want people to figure it out through your clues, yet you refuse to disclose it , frankly it just comes off as elitist. I mean that as no reflection on your actual character, you seem like a good admin/moderator and person, but it comes off that way. You shouldn't admonish people when they are disappointed in some of these "gifts", especially when you know the full information yourself.

While I'm on the exact same page as you, I would also like to state I completely understand Kaiba's view 110% which I know others share.

Kaiba, please correct me if I'm wrong but I would like to try and say how I think you feel. Ultimately, you've been on a long trip, you've seen some landmarks and enjoyed them along the way, but after a while the trip is just too long for you and what you really want is the destination. It's to the point that you have heard "just a few more landmarks" that you don't care about them anymore, you just care about the destination or landmarks that specifically say "Here is the destination".

I'm sure a LOT of people feel this way regarding StarCraft 2 right now and there's nothing wrong with that. I'm walking the same path as you guys. The only difference is, I have the ability right now, personally, to show more landmarks that are hard to see. They're important enough landmarks for me to care about them, and I'm sorry that I'm not able to pull the weeds out of the way. If you're looking specifically for the destination itself in this thread, it might be better to watch our front page. But if given the chance to share any information I've obtained or not, I think I'd still share it again if this is the only way I am able to at this time.

In other words, just because I point out a landmark, doesn't mean you have to look at it. There are plenty of other threads in our community with fantastic conversations that you could contribute to if this one seems to frustrate you.
