I've heard some posters talk about their response as evidence that it's not the beta we're speculating about .. so, I would assume so But, you know how forum posters are.

Whatever this is, it might not be anything we care about.

It would be awfully cruel for Gifted to drop so many teasers about something we don't care about. I haven't been around all that long but he doesn't strike me as the cruel type?

I'm sure he knew exactly what most of us were going to start thinking when he started giving his gifts. If it's all about something insignificant then this is just one big epic troll

Maybe it's something HE cares about. We, however, have had our expectations raised due to Spychi and the conference call announcement that nothing short of a beta would be important to us.

The simple fact that the moderators here at SCL haven't put a stop to these discussions should serve as evidence that something is going on.

Yeah, but that kind of thing happened before (eg April 2009), where a relatively minor incident got overhyped (by the community, not SCL itself) and then we all got disappointed. (Bunches of fansites had counters, etc.)

Honestly, I can't even remember what happened then. The campaign info a few months later completely eclipsed all my memories of then.

Given these problems, I think fansites shouldn't even bother leaking hints like that. Because they can't tell us even the basis of the info, they should know from previous experience that people tend to read too much into them.
