    Wouldn't it be nice if when you destroy a floating terran building, it explodes and a rain of flaming debries falls down, delling splash damage to the units underneath.
    The bigger the building the more debries it would produce.It could have a really sweet animation.



    Wouldn't that be nice?

    Now that you mention it, we have yet to see a CC explode.
    The deaths of the Hive and Nexus were pretty friggin' sweet,
    so I imagine that the CC death will be just as awesome.

    The Thor destroyed that CC w/ Planetary Fortress addon in the Blizzard Terran Gameplay demonstration.

    I don't know, i've seen in almost every second terran game, that the terran player lost his scouting barracks or engeniring bay to the oponent, so it wouldn't be so rare. And this could give those ooooooooouuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhh moments in matches

    I'm sure that in the demo, the explosion was probably a placeholder.

    They actually had that first and cut it due to stress to the Multiplayer connection. It also counted for units, they demonstrated it on the Battlecruiser during the Initial SC2 anouncement.

    The problem with this is if the building is floating, your gonna be attacking with ranged units, so the effectivness youll get out of this is ... none.

    But I know what your saying, the fact that SC2 is capable of this is exciting. Weve seen broodlings spawn from destroyed buildings, and the most epic death animations... but as far as the gameplay behind it, thats another story.

    You are implying they only cut it FOR multiplayer, correct?

    Also, The 'Warp Ray' flash movie on the SC2 Warp Ray page shows 2 of them blowing up a Barracks while it's airborne.....looks purty cool to me.

    I miss that physics engine ;_; It looked so cool. If it was still around, imagine the triggers you could have with units falling over cliffs and stuff.
