Spychi's contacts, whether real or feigned, are anonymous. Which means that they're probably saying something that they specifically don't want their employer to know who said it. Same goes for Gifted's contact.

That's why it's called a "leak" rather than just putting information out there. It's done through unofficial channels that protect themselves from being fired by remaining anonymous.

But Gifted and spychi are known identies with vested intrests in Blizzard. Regardless of the primary of source niether Gifted or spychi wants to get on the wrong side of Blizzard. All the information they provide they know (or at least think) they are allowed by Blizzard to give.
