The thing is that everyone heard that the terran zerg and protoss caimpaigns were being split and assumed that meant less content. There having trouble realizing that a basket with 3 apples, a basket with 3 oranges and a basket with 3 pears is the same as 3 baskets with 1 apple, 1 orange and 1 pear each.

There's going to be at least 3 times as much content as a single game would have, but this is a game where buying the expansions is necessary to see how the main story arc ends. Not buying the 3 parts is going to leave you with an incomplete main story, as there are sections of it revealed on every part.

That said, many games have endings that aren't really much of an ending, and are obviously going to continue into the next part (like in FEAR, or why not BW itself). At least with SC2, you won't need to wait several years to know what happends next.

That would be the same if it was split ZPT times 3. You would still need to buy all three to see how the overall story ends. As far at the caimpaign story for each i believe Blizzard has said that that each caimpaign will have its own story that ends.

The Dawn of War expansions were well made (barring the last one that wasn't made by Relic). That and they were priced as expansions, not full games.

Blizzard hasn't specifically labeled HoS and LotV as expansions, or that they're going to be priced as so. If anything, they've said stand alone which is even more indication that they're going to price them as full.

But do you have a problem with StarCraft 2 being a trilogy? If not, that's my point. The people I take issue with are the people who think the previously mentioned games are fine but yet StarCraft 2 is different.

Also, even though they have not specified a price, Rob Pardo himself has consistently said that the products will be expansion priced meaning less than the full game and about what we're used to paying for an expansion.

As I see it, your social skills are far too developed and your mental tools for handling jokes and opinions are far too finely tuned for this as of yet.
