What's funny is the very notion of PI brings lore nubs from the netz over. When I see titles like this, I fear that it may reek of the local nub.
But this is untainted. For that, I congratulate you good sir.![]()

Wait... whut?
I thought the extent the Overlords had any "psi" potential was for communication (as established by the concept of the psi emitters) ?
I was always under the assumption that Overlords kept themselves afloat due to some kind of natural lighter-than-air gas production within their carapices...? All the descriptions in SC1 seem to point toward organic/biological means ("pneumonic carapice" upgrades, etc) for most Zerg abilities.

^---yep. Blizzard decided to throw in telekinesis at one point however.

Might have to? That's part of the fun of enjoying something, thinking of new ways it could've happened.

The problem with that is that they become reliant on reaction mass, which limits their range considerably.
The second problem is that their reaction mass is also what keeps them buoyant.
Meh. While there's things I wish they did differently, the SC universe isn't fleshed out enough for me to imagine an alternate reality.

Come now. They could just as easily use some kind of bladder system to pump air from the front to behind. Or have some kind of organic fins/propellers/etc under that carapice. My point simply was that there were a plethora of ways overlords could achieve locomotion without having to throw psionics into the mix.
Telekenesis is generally regarded as a higher-level psionic ability, and higher-level psionics is the reason the Overmind targeted the Terrans in the first place. Judging by all the original texts and, indeed, in-game names/abilities/cues (SC1), there really was no justification for telekenetic locomotion for overlords.
But I suppose Blizzard has erred in far worse ways to nitpick over tiny details. Regardless, I digress from the OP.

Ulrezaj 600? WTF? Stronger than hybrids and even Kerrigan?
