well i was being told that the macro mechanic is a new system to choose from casual players those who excel at strategies - it's a good idea, but the way they are implemented ...well for now it really doesn't play well, it's hard to manage the game without the macro mechanics and with them it's getting even hard and it spoils the fun, i asked few people about the macro mechanics in the blizzcon build and some of them didn't even knew about that

Mass Effect Universe Fan, I support Mass Effect 2 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for Game of the year award! ME2 still is being the best rated game this year! Keep it up

There will be improments. The Protoss mechanic is being reworked right now. We just have to keep giving our feedback to make the macro system as innovative and fun as it can possibly be.

well yes, but honestly if i would get to decide about if the macro mechanics will or will not make it to the final game, i wouldn't give it a chance
it's way to risky even with the beta stage and lol we need to wait for beta to see how things will work out

lol well if the Reinvention of Macro fails then Starcraft 2 really wont add anything truly innovative to the RTS genre. Still will be a sick game though.

They already added some very good ideas, like cliff-climbers, Warp-in, and variable-attack units (Void Ray).

For the record, I'm looking forward to the single player campaign more than the multiplayer aspect at this point. When speaking to Jack doe regarding it, I get very few details... but I can tell that the enthusiasm on the singleplayer is ten-fold compared to when he talks about the potential of multiplayer and esports. I can easily understand that the plot seems to be significantly larger and more indepth than the first one.

Again, this is all educated speculation... don't hold me at gunpoint.. and recognize I'm sharing my opinion. ^_^

I always was for the singleplayer if it comes to StarCraft, the lore and the universe is much much more important for me. After few conversations I assumed otherwise, it's the multiplayer for Blizzard the most important aspect, even though they can claim otherwise. This game is heavily multiplayer-focus and yes I know that they said numerous times that singleplayer is on the same level of importance but during the development of this game, when those campaigns will be out, it's all about the multiplayer.

I think that while we have compatible conversations, we may be on different pages

I will first agree that the multiplayer in terms of importance is what they'll be focusing on (Be that UMS or the melee itself, that's up in the air... we'll see how that goes when we start seeing content patches in the game itself) But in terms of the enthusiasm that I'm seeing, I just get the feeling from those I'm discussing with that they can't wait for us to see the singleplayer.

    *thinks* In other words:
    - If Jack Doe had a choice, he's rather watch my reactions and impressions regarding the singleplayer campaign.. he's really passionate/impressed with it.
    - If Jack Doe had a priority given to him of what's the most important thing to pull off right, it would be multiplayer.

    *curious look to spychi*
