Thread: Comic Cancellation

    Default Comic Cancellation

Today, DC comics announced it would cancel the StarCraft comic after issue 7, and the World of Warcraft comic after issue 25 and Special #1.

Instead, the series will continue in graphic novels.

I suspect in the long run this is good news, but it's certainly bad in the short run. Dang it, I wanted to see Nova in the series, but she was going to be in issue 9.

Thats bad news for dirty pirates because book scans are are less readily available then comic scans.

    imeanwut?

So good decision on their end financially. And it makes it easier to buy for potential consumers, and buying individual comics was incredibly intimidating for people unfamiliar with the series, especially considering the writer and artist working on SC comics are uh...

    interesting.

I'd say its a good call, if it werent for the fact that I now have to go to my local book store and feel retarded and moronic while I sit and read a graphic novel in the childrens section (because thats where my book store decided to put that kind of stuff)...

I'm pretty bummed out. I was collecting these and have all the variants and reg covers. It was only supposed to be a 12 book run... Now they're stopping @ 7? Eh. That sucks. I just hope the graphic novels are good. I wonder how this will affect the Blizz/Tokyopop relationship.
