    The rush to AtA vs zerg is precisely the reason this would be needed, and since its a researched ability, it offers the choice to do so, but also requires the choice to do so if you want to better protect them against fast teching to AtA.

    Neither of the other two races have to deal with easily lost supply, nor do they have to sacrifice a larva to increase that supply. Therefore overlord sniping can severely cripple the race, even with additional larva from larva inject. The larva injection balances the races, so lost larva and resources due to fast ata strategies against zerg creates an imbalance.
    Overlord hunting is popular, because it cripples the Zerg's ability to macro, and the Zerg players like to scout with them, so there's a lot of them in the middle of nowhere. Stopping Overlord hunting is easy, a few Spore Colonies, and taking your Overlords to your base, or sending Hydras would suffice.

    a SUPER SHELL ability, that makes the overlord nearly invincible (or the hp of a building) for 20 seconds, but he can't move, can't use his abilities or any passive stuff (overlord don't detect anymore right? well during this time it CANT) he can have during that time. giving you all the time to reach your overlord to protect it, still, i think the idea is not a good one. Protecting the overlord is part of the zerg job. Losing overlords is part of zerg balance.

    Alright, Alright...

    You guys have convinced me the idea is not a good one. I still feel like its unfair to have an all-in one unit vulnerability, however, since the general opinion of most people in this thread is that there really is no problem here, I concede.

    If it was a problem, I agree that maybe it would need a completely different solution, as this one seems to have too many flaws.

    If it makes you feel better, the Overlord morphs in 25 seconds in Starcraft 2 instead of 40 seconds from Brood Wars.

    I guess it's just hard to see AA as a vulnerability when if you think of it, it's immune to 50% of the units in the game by being an air unit. It can't be attacked by reapers, hellions, banshees, colossi, immortals, roaches, broodlords and any melee unit in the game.

    But its not exactly an attack unit, it really has no way of defending itself and is easier to get to, but it moves. But like I said, I give up, i just wanted to add that in :P
