Nice! Thats kinda swaying me toward the Cthulu look. What do people think about giving the Broodlord mouth tentacles?
Ive also been looking at other kraken like monsters. Heres one from Resistance 2.
And the Watcher in the Water from lord of the rings (can someone find a better picture)
Speaking of which where is my Squidy friend?

No.Am I the only one that wants the tentacles to be facing forward?
The idea being that it flings them at its target and it bursts in to a tentacle beast (though I do like XSoldier's rendition of the ground unit).
Heh, I wish I were also a talented artist so I could so a concept of what I'm imagining.
I was thinking the same thing.
I did a horrendous version on MS paint:
The entire unit would have to be scaled down though to prevent it from obscuring the battlefield.
I envisioned it moving backwards, having to turn around (perhaps with a flip) to attack.
For an attack AoA's suggestions were good. The sentinels one would especially go with SC's habit of borrowing from big Scifi movies.
I think its tentacles need to be used in some form or another, like psi suggested.

I'm definitely liking what BvE posted (assuming the Zerg version's tentacles would wriggle a lot), and the idea of the top one you did there KoJ.
The attack I envisioned was basically that you have all these tentacles wriggling and squirming, one pauses, swells, blasts to the ground striking the target, then bursting and splitting into little tentacle beasts (or what XSoldier designed, the mini-Corruptor).

No, I didn't mean the evolution. What did I mean is that I don't see the point in just making the Mutalisk with different Wings angle and call it like a totally different unit. If it is evolution, then it should evolve into something bigger and stronger, and it doesn't have to look alike an unit that is evolving, since those are Zergs we are talking about...

At this point, I'm not sure whether to laugh at the humor or to take it seriously.
Personally, I think they should just color the corruptor with the same colorscheme as the brood lord. That would make them look instantly related, and it adds two distinct color schemes to the zerg (broodlord/corruptor/baneling/infestor v ultra/hydra/muta/zergling), kind of like how the protoss have the DT and Class color schemes.

Ehn, I don't think claws on the tentacles are necessary. They're creepy and threatening enough as is.
Were you suggesting the body be similar to the current Broodlord?

After some hard work I managed to make this:
It keeps its roll as larvae producer lorewise. It is the largest of the zerg and it might move entire zerg broods from one world to another one. Unlike many zergs, the corruptor and the brood lord have a much larger nourishment gland that helps them grow larvae within themselves.
The brood lord may modify its own body in order to garrison a much larger body of larvas or small zergs. Larger groups and breeds of zerg are transported on a suicide mission towards their new settlement. Travel in deep space is rather easy for the brood lord, this saving of energy will keep him alive for the travel. As soon as this behemoth moves into the atmosphere of a planet, chemical reactions take place within its own body starting to replace its nourishment sac with creep and other biochemicals used by the hive buildings. Its own exoeskeleton hardens and suits his remains for the construction of a new settlement anywhere.
Organic zerg space platforms have resulted after these reactions take place in orbit of a planet. Multiple brood lords may fuse together in order to build such platforms.
Warlord class Brood Lords may produce over a trillion small fast-evolving zerg siblings called Broodlings. This small creature may infest a world within days. Although they are cheap and rather defenseless against terran or protoss technologies, they might be pumped out of the broodlord constantly while it takes energy from a nearby star light and heat. As well, Warlord class Brood Lords have the capability to board Broodlings into other capital ships such as terran battle cruisers and protoss carriers by bridging their armor with ther powerful tentacules and mandible claws.
Gameplay:
normal atg attack with broodlings
Ability:
Boarding party: After a massive fling unit reaches 1/2 of its hitpoint, the Broodlord might take it over and use it as aditional armor and AtA attacks in the case of Battlecruisers or Carriers(some sort of beam). The broodlord will get 1/4 of the units total hitpoints, +1 armor and a cool "kraken attacking a ship" look. This additional points will start to wear out and the bonus will be lost after a designed amount of time returning the Broodlord to its normal form.

That's honestly not a bad idea; it sorta combines an Overlord and a Corruptor.
