No, better to make the regular carriers look like the bananas and make super carriers look like the crashed carrier in that early artwork. The goathead must die. (at least for use as the carrier model)

They hate it so much they dragged the thread off-topic

Well, back on topic. What damage do you expect from the new Carrier's cannons? Seeing that in the past, the beam weapons have been blue, this could be a different weapon entirely, meant for tactical bombardments.

I would love to see its core "exposed" after the armor coils back forming a mistical super "flowerlike" weapon. Then shoot a slow progressing "spirit like" beam that will desintegrate everything on its path.

I wouldn't expect a damage figure in-game, since it's probably too slow to be used as a regular weapon. But the damage would be quite high.

Not me, i think that the recolored-tempest model is unacceptable. The Project Revolution model of the old Carrier is much better:

    Blizzard should do even better.

Hey, it even has the "camouflage"! :P

I agree with what Roobster said, but I'm sorry for helping to drag this off-topic - I just think it's a bit questionable that all this time has passed and they've made no mention at all about the state of the Carrier's model.

To bring the Carrier model discussion on-topic, purification beams like that would fit great with the old model. In the original Protoss victory video look at the part were the Gantrithor crashes into the camera, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=woste...eature=related right after 01:00. I think the orange glowing ring could be intended to be the purification beam weapon. Perhaps it has even been confirmed in some novel? For a cinematic it could look great to have the "banana peels" open up while purification is being carried out, maybe so much that the ship gets somewhat of a starfish-like shape.

Also, look at the how beautiful and powerful the ship feels, what sane person wouldn't want to play around with a fleet of those in SC2?

I meant in the comic it was shown in, seeing that the beam seamed different from its counterparts.
