    At first I thought that it looks like some sort of Savannah dog or something but then, at a closer look of its face, it kind of looks like a meerkat that walks like a dog but has a more rodent-like face and bigger ears.

    the head looked more like a possum's to me.

    Reminds me of a meerkat/civet.

    Why does it have to be a manipulation of a creature from earth?
    Can't it just be a furry animal with stripes, four legs, a tail and horns?
