We feel that you know what will happen next since you've watched the BR a couple of time XD. But you do a very good job, more descriptions, strategies and less «terrible terrible damage».
Keep up the good work!

Eventually you will get much better. You will find a point where you enjoy making a comment.
Your own phrases and emotions will eventually come with time. Keep the good work. I would suggest random comments over replays you have never seen before. This way you may test your abilities to create comments effectively.
Edit: try to avoid the description of units but don't forget about them completely. The narration over events and possible strategies cause/effect is the most important in this kind of comments.

I agree, its hard to get excited about a replay that I've watched a number of times and lets face it I'm sure we've all watched every Battle Report three times trying to get more information. I've been doing shoutcasts/commentaries for a little while now. Please feel free to check out the rest of my videos here: http://www.youtube.com/user/BlizShouter and offer any additional comments. I know most of the videos are of WC3 but the experience and feedback would still help.

Out of curiosity, how many people have applied to cast for SC:L? I see this page is still up.

I tried this once with and it worked pretty well, but I just feel so weird shoutcasting in a room by myself -_-
I'd highly recommend you try this with a friend you're real chill with. The lack of emotion and nervousness fade away completely, the only thing you need to consciously avoid is going too far and just goofing off. Make sure its relatively clear whos going to be speaking and when. Its a lot better way to start then just trying to comment by yourself. Even shoutcasting with a friend in the room works.
