Vote for SC2 as Spike VGA Most Anticipated Game

If SC2 won the award, what would that mean? That Blizzard has a lot of fans? That Blizzard's fans could out-vote other games? That Activision-Blizzard has better/more marketing muscle than other companies? And what would that tell you about the quality of SC2? Absolutely nothing!

I'm generally against dishonesty, but for this, I'm making an exception. Please do it. Anything that delegitimizes Spike's VGA "awards" is perfectly fine in my book.

I'll admit the VGA awards show is fairly detached from the gaming scene and overly commercialized (as is obvious from the 'fueled by dew' award). But I think Spike has earned their degree of respect for providing decent entertainment for guys who enjoy wasting away in front of a TV.

You just gotta look at it objectively as a rare opportunity to glorify gaming as a pasttime. Plus there's usually fairly decent music, previews, and flashbacks to the great games you enjoyed throughout the years.

Yes, I look forward to the VGA's each year...as corny as the show may be. And even if you despise Spike and their offerings, there's no harm in placing a vote for a game pretty much everybody here is passionate about. That way, on the following day we can all band together and rejoice for the coveted 'most anticipated game' award SC2 has earned itself amidst it's overly drawn out development period, when all hype and excitement is but a small glimmer.

After so much time SC2 could use some positive recognition...even if it's from a corny TV show.

But, I'm curious, do you hang around the BioWare forums talking about Mass Effect 2 as much as you do with StarCraft 2 here? To me, it seems like you'd have to be as big of a StarCraft fan as I am and I don't think any game (non-Blizzard) could ever get me as hyped because I know I'll be playing this game almost daily for the next decade.

ME2 has no multiplayer, and thus I have less to discuss.

Caution is always a good idea. Whether its because you're playing a naked hardcore run of D2, or realizing that everything is fallible including software.
