    Default What powers marine suits?

Do they use cold fusion to power their stuff?

If so, I think they should be given to option to self destruct causing a nuclear explosion.

They derive power from the pure vitriol exuded by Demolition Squid on a daily basis. His venomous stare alone would power a car; a full sarcastic remark a city for a week.

I think it may be cold fusion, given that a number of cylinders are inserted and surrounded in a cloud of whispy fog. But I don't think they need to self-destruct. Rather, I think it accentuates the pure volume of destructive capability contained by even the smallest grunt on the battle field. This means even the smallest skirmeshes are titanic clashes.
    Aaand sold.

Be it through hallowed grounds or lands of sorrow
The Forger's wake is bereft and fallow

    Is the residuum worth the cost of destruction and maiming;
Or is the shaping a culling and exercise in taming?

The road's goal is the Origin of Being
But be wary through what thickets it winds.

Cold Fusion. you can see the reactor being inserted in the Tychus cinematic.

a cold fusion power plant probably couldn't self destruct in a massive explosion... for that matter a 'hot fusion' power plant probably couldn't either.

    You mean this?:

It seems like there are two of those in the chest:

At first, i thinked they were Stimpacks, but it seems like the things glow and are cold (Blizzard has the idea that cold fusion is really cold ), so i think you're right, and they're the power supplies. Seems like they have a backup one.

Did you see the stuff that gets into Tychus spine?:

Reminds me of Dr. Octopus in Spiderman 2

It's something I've been pondering too. It's possible the suit has some built-in reactor, either fusion or fission based, but I'm not sure about those things being inserted into the suit in the cinematic, they could be cooling units too. Not sure.

IIRC Speed of Darkness suggested that they have a rechargeable battery system. They simply plug a cord into somewhere and then juice up. I think a system like that would make the most sense, but so far I don't think there's enough to say anything definitive about it.

Don't forget the suit comes with a pair of exhaust ports that blast out copious amounts of waste heat. There's something serious powering these suits.

Maybe that's not excess heat, as that things seems to have output regulation. Did you saw Armaggedon?

Those aren't exhaust ports, they're jets to simulate gravity in low/no gravity environments. Though I suppose they could vent the heat from a reactor to them.
