I only watched the first minute and a half of the video and what I can say is that it looks exactly like what I used to do in Air Cadets. It's drill and it's a part of the things you have to learn in Cadets. You also learn drill in the military, obviously. So basically, if you're in Cadets or the military, you learn it because you have to.

It didnt get too interesting until about 2 minutes in, so if you did stop at 1:30 check it out for a bit more. It kind of reminded me of marching bands, but with tighter interaction between people.
