the fondest memories I have of the Cod franchise are from the first games.

I'll take your girlfriend off your hands since you wont be seeing her anyways.
*A new challenger approaches!* I say we resolve this dispute my means of a duel!

I really liked the first one and grew fairly attached to the characters, though the story was a little convoluted. But I really liked the introductory segment, I found it very compelling a technique (if I'm talking about the same game here).

My friend bought it and expects to receive it in the mail this week. I'll play it with him asap. (I hear Mc-Britain survived the end of CoD. This pleases me. )
    Aaand sold.

Be it through hallowed grounds or lands of sorrow
The Forger's wake is bereft and fallow

    Is the residuum worth the cost of destruction and maiming;
Or is the shaping a culling and exercise in taming?

The road's goal is the Origin of Being
But be wary through what thickets it winds.

Campaign had a lot of variety, but it was really short. Good game play and story, however it was just too quick to play through...

Coop challenges are a lot of fun, hopefully they'll make more of those.

Multiplayer, eh... More variety than CoD4, but I can't stand 203s, dualies or all the helis. Takes the fun out of the game when you have helis constantly hovering, or people with dual P90s... Just isn't realistic either.

Played COD4, got bored of it rather quickly.

The problem I have with these games is that they're just so damn static, everything is defined to a set of rules that are so tight it leaves the player no freedom.

Take battlefield 1942 or battlefield 2 for example, there is so much freedom allowed in that game that it's insane. Great vehicles, dog fights, claymores, satchels, all the good stuff.

No place on the map is off limits (except for the boundaries of course), it's just amazing.

How ironic, i see that i have no choice at all.
I am a warrior...let the battle be joined!"

    Mine is PC

Edit: You'll never catch me playing a FPS on a console if I can get it for PC.

Is the internet working okay for you on it, I have heard a lot of complaints on the console like system used for implementing the PC multiplayer? My game is coming tomorrow hopefully if you want to try co-op.

I know! I honestly don't see why the COD franchise is not going in that direction. I mean the single player mode is huge so the battlefield 2/1942 gameplay would be more fitting.
