2010 Beta Date Inquiry: Sc2gdf Thread and Beta Timeline Discussion

It is hard to give updates, when all updates that you have to give are small and insignificant ones compared to the update you really want to know about - beta and release. Any update we gave got shouted down by a wave of: "Who cares, give us beta".

Well, they did say everything is going according to the timeline on nov 5th, which obviously was changed before that conference call and after blizzcon. Assuming this stays the same, we'll hopefully be experiencing our last let-down and increased waiting period...

I'm pretty certain this time.. I think the problem was an issue with 2.0, that they've since fixed. During that time, I believe they had a lot of extra time to work on fixing bugs in sc2, meaning the beta version is going to be a lot cleaner than normal.

I now believe they are expecting a smaller beta period than originally planned. I think 4-6 months has turned into 3-5 months. I wont bet you a key because as far as I know, I wont have one. I am fairly certain this time though... as I don't see any way something can interfere anymore, barring some crazy act of terrorism that cripples the economy further.
