Good times. How's the nostalgia holding up?

The sequels to both of these games are probably more memorable for most people but I've always enjoyed the originals more. They felt more grounded and personal than the heavy lean into sci-fi (Tiberian Sun) and crazy hamminess (RA2) that their sequels focused on.

I had the opposite happen to me when I bought AoE2 DE at the start of the COVID thing. It was great seeing some of the original creator's tiny studios work on the remastered alongside xbox *cough* microsoft */* games.
