You know what else costs 100g. A dropship you can use to drop on the opponent.

Care to elaborate why a 150m 100g salvageable building that reveals units in a huge radius is good for gameplay?
Because, if I recall correctly, it also reveals its location and detection radius to all other players. So it's not like you don't know that your Warp Prism will be spotted or something.

A Dropship that will be spotted by the Sensor Tower...

Yet what can you do about that?
Also, at the point in the game someone is going to build the Sensor Tower, the player would likely be already scouted, or close to it, so that won't count as a disadvantage.

The best thing i can think of is simulating a fake attack, while you go for another target, but that's all. Time will tell if that's enough, i suppose.

    Given Player 1 and 2 have 100g

    Scenario A
    Player 1: Gets Dropship
    Player 2: Gets Sensor Tower

    Scenario B
    Player 1: Gets Dropship
    Player 2: Gets Dropship

    Scenario C
    Player 1: Gets Sensor Tower
    Player 2: Gets Sensor Tower

Unfortunately you're all incompetent and asked a bad question. He could simply mean the OUTER, RED radii does not detect clock/burrow. The INNER, YELLOW still might.

Its simply not clear from the answer.

I didn't asked it. Still, if the response isn't clear, it would be Cydra's fault. Look:
    5. Do cloaked and burrowed units appear as blips within the radar's range?
    5. No. Cloaked and burrowed units don't appear.
Within the radar's range should be all the range counting from the building. By the response she gave, it would mean that it doesn't reveals cloaked units at all. I wouldn't be surprised if the yellow range doesn't exists anymore, as it was also used to turn the missile turrets into detectors. I'm going to ask there.

If I recall correctly the Sensor tower doesnt have detection. That has been moved to the missle turret. It used to be that the sensor tower gave detection to missle turrets but I think its back to the SC1 way now.

Yeah, the Sensor Tower lost its little detection zone to the turrets. Also, the "catch" behind the Sensor Tower is that it reveals its own location to the enemy. Depending on the map, Sensor Towers could be placed in different ways to confuse the enemy. My general rule of thumb is that, unless the enemy knows the location of your base or expansion, don't build a Tower there. Try building Towers well away from your bases so the enemy doesn't know quite exactly where you are. Once they know about a base, however, then there's no reason not to build one right there.

It's funny......as much as the devs are claiming to try to get players out into the field
of battle, they sure as hell are settin' up the Terrans for some nice turtling tactics......

Actually the sensor Tower allows you to go out on the field because it gives you more time to move your forces back if enemy units are coming to your base.
