Rumor: Comic contest eludes to SC2 not coming until May/June 2010 at the earliest

Including, not exclusive to. Meaning you get great prizes, which can include a beta key.

2. Beta Keys can be handed out when the Beta is in progress.

They don't just shut off all access to the beta once it starts. They'll release more keys in waves over the duration of the beta as they see fit, either in contests or out of necessity (Stress Testing).

3. Vespene Laughs is a horrible indication of beta release dates

It's a fan contest. It's meant to create hype for SC2 and its beta. They're not throwing hints at the start or end date of the beta. You might as well derive the release date of Cataclysm through WoW's monthly comic contest.

Well the longer the better. That means more time to tweak terran graphics, protoss airforce and overall balance the game. Even more time to put more interesting features for ship.

How the hell can you still be so patient? Screw that... give me the game and tweak things in patches and expansions.

For years, November 2009 would have been my most pessimistic guess for the release of this game. Now here we are still waiting for beta.

That's ok, it's also been thwarted as well: Our newest news post from the Korean forums involves the following information relating to the new vespene laughs contest:

In the last contest, the beta invitation was included in the winner’s prize, so that answers your question. Also, the point when the contest ends is not necessarily the point when open beta starts. There is no direct relationship.

Hey guys, you're ideas are logical, but what If Blizzard is planning on continuing these Vespene Laughs comic contests even after Starcraft 2 Beta is released. Maybe the release of another contest will have no impact on the release of the Beta.
Even though the Keys are being given out, people don't have to have the keys before the Beta begins. They can sign up with the Key at any time, I would think.

It's a lot easier to just set an end date for the contest at the latest announced setup, and if things come earlier, they can just end the contest earlier. Doesn't change the fact that there is NO speculation that's reliable that we can pull from this contest and it's dates.
