so, these artifacts zeratul mentions. are they a good focus for the starcraft 2 story? or are they a lame copout, belonging to a poor fantasy series? discuss.

Given what little we know, what's the point of speculating? I recall people calling terrazine from Ghost a "poor concept" without knowing anything about it either.

Oh all right, how can we avoid speculating? It's the point of the forum, isn't it? I figure they'll be McGuffins until the end of Wings of Liberty, at which point whichever faction gets their hands on it gets some kind of power boost. Raynor has to decide ... give them to Zeratul, or to the Moebius guys?

I highly doubt it because the plots suppose to have a singular ending. And thats way to un-epic for a blizzard game.

The plot doesn't have to have a singular ending, with Mass Effect to Mass Effect 2 being the perfect example.

That said, Blizzard will most likely go for a singular ending, just to keep the canon in order.

Blizzard did promise a single ending to Wings of Liberty. However, the artifacts could alter the middle or near-the-end of the campaign.

They have said many times there is only one ending.





Most likely this ending will be Raynor speeding a hellion down an exploding Battlecruiser before the artifact can activate and destroy all sentient life.
