What does "the player [having] to come back to [their] base to produce reinforcements" mean?

Are we abolishing control groups? You have to be looking at a Barracks if you want to tell it to train a Marine?
For MULES, you have to target the mineral chunks (otherwise, I think they do nothing, like goggles), and where would you be seeing those other than in a base that has a command center/OC/PF?

For obelisks, presumably you're supposed to go back to the base every x seconds and push the hotkey, but we recently learned you can just click on the minimap, so it's not a "base screen forcer". (It really is the worst of the abilities.)

And for the Inject Larvae ability, you have to manually target the hatchery/lair/hive, which means going back to base.

Id say its a pretty big design decision that has been the most talked about subject on these forums for over a year...

This thread is solely about unit production, not the macro mechanics in general.

I dunno, but isn't that the whole point of letting people hot key buildings?

That pretty much gives you your answer, if they didn't want people to do it, they wouldn't let you hot key it.

Grounder: I'm not driving. He is!
    Scratch: No I'm not.
Sonic: Driving without a driver? Now you're really in for it.

Sonic: You know? I sure have fun.

I didn't know which thread he'd check, so I posted it in both. And many of the macro mechanics (two of them, in fact) involve creating new units, so it's not even off-topic...

OR you could give people the ability to hotkey and then give them something else to come back to the base.

    hmmmm.

We're talking unit production not resource gathering, ergo, it 'is' OT.

Exactly, unit production, not resource gathering.

Produce reinforcements is the term used. Not unit production. Now you can nit pick that however you want. Maybe by produce he only means fruit (and not vegitables). Maybe by reinforcements he really means Normandy paratroopers

'Reinforcements' is a fairly clear-cut word. Still, this is your thread, so I'll ask you:
    What does 'produce reinforcements' mean?
