    They have 125hp, and lose only 10 with Stimpack. That doesn't make them weak, unless you use a bunch of Stimpacks, but how much extra damage they dealed because of that? With the Marine, it's a much bigger tradeoff, as they have only 45hp, while the Marauders have nearly 3 times that.

    Healing basically defeats the tradeoff. Stimpacks should decrement the max health for a minute, or so, instead of doing damage for 10 hp. That way, your unit will return to normal if it survives, but you cannot abuse the ability when you get healing. Another option would be to put a cooldown on Stimpack use.

    That is the main problem.

    A Stimmed Marine or Reaper is
    10/45 easier to kill (~22%)
    but
    can kill 50% more of you

    A Marauder is only ~8% easier to kill
    but still can kill 50% more of you


    If the damage taken was 20% of max, then maybe (although that would mean stimming a shielded marine would be worse in terms of total hp)


    I'd say either
    1. Only give Stim pack to Marines and Reapers (becuse they are low hp)
    OR
    2. Stim takes 20% of max hp instead of 10

    I think 1 would fit better lore wise (stim shouldn't affect a Marauder as much given the Suit effect>>human effect)
    sensibility wise (Reactor units get stim... Tech lab units Don't... helps avoid the "why don't Ghosts get stim?")

    Then make it based on a percentage instead of on a solid number.

    Easy fix.

    They are... I thought they were Reactor ones?... Now that's just ridiculous... Reapers should be highly massable, speed being their trait

    In any case then add that to the changes, dump stim, make Reapers Reactor units (maybe increase their build time slightly to compensate.)



    Even if Stim took a % of hp, so that it was Balanced,. I'd rather see it eliminated from Marauders for lore/aesthetics reasons... Stimming a mechanical unit just doesn't seem right (I presume they are both Mechanical and Biological like SCVs)

    No they are not. They used to be tech lab units, but they were too specialized at it was, so blizzard changed it.

    Every single source I have states that Reapers require a Tech Lab and Merc Compound to be built by the Barracks.

    I saw that they were once produced by the Reactor, but I think they are now produced requiring a tech lab.
