Guy in the Missle Turrwt

This may be the ultimate nitpick, but dosen't it piss anyone else off that there is a guy in the missle turret in the remaster now? I always imagined them as completely automated, like so in the manual.

"Missile Turrets are relatively inexpensive structures that will
automatically target and fire upon incoming enemy aircraft. They also
serve as sentry stations equipped with powerful sensors capable of
detecting cloaked vessels."

That seems to imply that they are not manned by anyone no? I always romanticized the idea of missle turrets being these cold sentries that Terrans left out to guard abandoned space platforms.

Was it always silly for the guy to be constantly spinning, for them to cost zero supply, and to not be roboticized? Sure. But this is one case where the Remastered one really looks just like the original, definitely no worse.

It's honestly a little concering how much relief I had when I released he actually was in SC1.

Yeah, I always knew there was missile turret guy. I played and made enough Tower Defense maps with Turrets to notice.

But it is already stipulated that the turret can work without gunner are automatic manual & terran manual ,the gunner it only follows the idea that the AI terran to a does not replace the randomness of human madness

There could be some interesting lore behind this. Maybe the guy in there is an unwilling participant? Maybe it's used as a form of torture/ punishment/ discipline? I'd imagine being sent to Missile Turret duty would be a good motivator for the troops to keep in line because who else would like to be strapped into a machine for hours on end that is endlessly turning around and making you dizzy and nauseous.
