There's only like two games of this series - unless you're talking about all the old ones before the current one.

The first of the modern remake has a loose continuity with the second in that there's a few references that might be more appreciated if you played the first one. Otherwise the second one assumes XCOM lost in the first game, so it doesn't really matter since winning is not the canon ending for the first one anyway.

The original series had even less of a story so you don't need to worry about those affecting your enjoyment of the new series and they played more like a management sim than a game.

Xcom 2 is one of the best turn based games IMO (at least when you turn the timers off)

Maybe it's just me but I found xcom 2 A LOT harder than xcom 1(until all your troops are fully geared and maxed out of course; then it's irrelevant). I would recommend starting with the first one.

Also, humble bundle is great!

Cool deal. And if you don't have an extra, it's no biggie. I also had my eye on The Darkness II, but the first one was so-so.

Yep, it was a bug, just like I knew it was. I had an extra key listed under unredeemed keys, even though I'd been playing XCOM 2. Its been corrected.
