    lolclickbait.

But either that, or the awards are rigged. Neither of them please me. The award show is a day after the game is released, btw.

Glenn Stafford and Jason Hayes happen to bring the best of what I love from the oldies into the new stuff, whenever they compose something together. I know little about Mike Patti, but he might do just fine as a third party.

    Hoping for the best.

My high expectations come from the "Sounds of the Nexus" panel from last year's BlizzCon. Hell, that was a good audio porn. 10% of what the live experience was:

You know to make this thread a bit less of a waste on my part, I strongly suspect the soundtrack is a 2xCD. Almost twice as many tracks as HotS, and seven more than WoL. Both of those were nearing max CD capacity (if you wanted to maintain a good bitrate, anyway). Either it's a 2xCD or the tracks are pretty short.

I'm pretty sure there's an unaccounted-for extra disc in the unboxing CE pic on Battle.net, too. I'll double-check, might've epicfailed at counting.

Yup. Doesn't specify disc-count for the soundtrack, does for everything else, and the total is three for the game and BTS, at least one for soundtrack, and one unaccounted for (probably also soundtrack). I love me a good double-album, and if they're even 50 minutes each, I will be a happier camper than otherwise -- and I love Blizzard's music.

Also, that HotS (the newer HotS) song is good. I've always thought Blizzard, alongside Petroglyph (né Westwood and pretty much just Frank Klepacki, God of Videogame Metal) make the best game scores in North America. Or at least the best ones many people have heard.

Hmmmm hell march, soviet march, divine intervention (from universe at war); Frank is too good. For NA, my top picks are Alexander Brandon and David Wise though but I can understand why someone would disagree. Glenn Stafford would come right after with my favorite ost being that of WarCraft 2. I admit that nostalgia plays a big part in those choices.

Isn't David Wise super British? Unrelated to North America?

Seems he's a Rare guy, so North American (British-born).

I also left out Martin O'Donnell. Shame about all the back-stabby shit involving Bungie and him recently.

Nah, Rare is super British too. "Rare is a British video game developer located in Twycross, Leicestershire." Their other old composers like Eveline Fischer, Robin Beanland, Graeme Norgate and Grant Kirkhope are brits as well, othing American about 'em.

Halo music was definitely great. WoW has a ton of great music too. I don't even play WoW, but some of those login screens are great to listen to.

You are correct, 100% Brit. I said NA but I was thinking western tbh(in contrast to the east aka Japan).

Speaking of Eastern, I'm genuinely surprised Korea's not as big in the video game development industry as Japan is, given they're pretty much equal terms in most other ways.
