Depends on the nature of the genetic manipulation that was performed on Kerrigan. Unless the Zerg where aware she was pregnant and took steps to prevent harm to the foetus, the trauma done to her body in order to transform her could well have killed it.

How do you know that if Kerrigan were with child, that it will certainly be male? And wouldn't it be "Prince/ss of Blades"? Gee, I feel embarrassed asking these questions...
Yes, that's right! That is indeed ME on the right.

Well that was just force of habit as most Infested Terrans have male models. But yeah sure, it could be female but they may be a repeat of Kerrigan's story (female zerg human hybrid leading the Swarm). IMO it'll be more novel making her kid a boy.

But in all seriousness I think the possibility of Kerrigan being pregnant even after infestation can help explain some of Raynor's illogical actions in StarCraft 2. Like the whole aspect of him being in a depressed state about Kerrigan and forgetting his vow to kill her can be explained if he unknowingly impregnated her and Kerrigan gave birth to his child during the 4 year gap between the end of Brood War and the start of Wings of Liberty. Imagine how messed up it'll be if one day Raynor gets an email from Kerrigan showing him a picture with a human-zerg hybrid baby with, 'Your Son' written all over it. That can act as a plausible explanation of why Raynor became the drunk loser we see in Wings of Liberty.

It's hard to take this "seriously" when the idea is coming so far out of left field and that there are more reasonable and simpler explanations. Besides, it just sounds like more damnable retroactive continuity.

That doesn't even make sense. Why would Raynor be so messed up if he is "unknowing" of the fact he impregnated Kerrigan? He'd have no reason to unless he came up with the idea himself somehow, willed it into a reality in his mind and acted off that "knowledge". If he did that, it's far simpler to say that he's just batshit insane.

What is this I don't even.... Do you really want Starcraft turned more into Soap opera than it already is?
Yes, that's right! That is indeed ME on the right.

    Which makes me wonder:

She casted consumption because she was low on energy...

I was really hoping Kerrigan would have a baby in the Dark Templar Saga series. There was a brief mention of offspring of infested terrans in Deception (the biggest Top Secret, in fact), but, alas, it didn't happen.

I figured DTS was good timing, because she would have given birth by the time StarCraft II started. I also hoped her consort would survive the series. Spoiler: He didn't.

Abathur took the fetus inside of kerrigan, along with her ovaries, and made Nafash's prototype strain.

He then imbeded the sequence into kerrigan's subconscious, which inexorably led to her creating the brood mothers.

Nafash came about as a result of this conspiracy, and unknown to Kerrigan, she played right into Abathur's plot to kill protoss scientist wherever they are.

^ Oh, it makes so much sense now! So the reason she kills all those Protoss on Kaldir was in revenge for her daughter being killed even though she didn't know it was her daughter. It's a very befitting Starcraft2-y explanation.
