So I was listening to a Chemical Brothers song, and it sounded great...until the words came on, and some emo-pop sounding voice spouts really dumb lyrics.
Anyone else know some great songs with dumb words?

I love instrumentals, and probably have more instrumental versions of songs than the lyric'd version. It also helps me enjoy music from overseas for which I couldn't normally understand the singing. Honestly, if you ask me what music is better without the singing, I'd say all of it lol.

This is the exact reason I love shoe gazing. Along with the mellow tone, very little of it has vocals at all. Baxter, Do Make Say Think, and Mogwai are great examples.

Be it through hallowed grounds or lands of sorrow
The Forger's wake is bereft and fallow
Is the residuum worth the cost of destruction and maiming;
Or is the shaping a culling and exercise in taming?
The road's goal is the Origin of Being
But be wary through what thickets it winds.

I think I like songs best that I can attach my own meanings to -- songs with no lyrics, foreign lyrics, or the poetic kind of lyrics that can mean more or less anything.

As someone who loves orchestral music, I have to agree. That said, there are plenty of times where vocals (foreign or otherwise) can add a lot to a song. Sometimes the singing has more emotion and feeling behind it than the music... sometimes it is quite the opposite.
Fortunately there are instrumental versions of most songs, as well as acapella in some cases, so everyone can get what they want!![]()

So does anyone have any really good game music? I'm looking for things like the Assassins' Creed II soundtrack, the Journey OST, Deus Ex Human Revolution, and others. Something orchestral and melodic I can listen to while working on art.
I tried the Half Life II soundtrack, but it's a little too invasive and jarring, making it hard to concentrate on other tasks.
Suggestions?

I was going to recommend the album Army of Mushrooms by Infected Mushroom (it's what I listen to), but you'd probably find that jarring too, most likely.
Game soundtracks...uh...Donkey Kong Country 1 and 2 are pretty good for that sort of thing. Actually, Starcraft/BW have good soundtracks too.

Hah, found some more. The Order: 1886. Every time I hear that cello, I expect the Lannisters to send their regards.
And an old favorite. This should be the soundtrack for your nightmares.
