I much prefer originality in general, but I think if The Leviathan was actually "Moby Dick in space" it'd be a better film overall. Some classic stories are told over and over again, like Oliver Twist, while others like Moby Dick get put on the side burner. I can't remember the last time I saw a good Moby Dick interpretation.

Sadly, shit went south with Mortal Kombat's reboot, but hopefully there won't be as much outsider meddling in something like THIS.
Really? Do you know what happened? I liked the idea of Jeri Ryan being Sonya Blade.

Which part? You mean how things went downhill due to Warner Bros.' corporate meddling?
    Aaand sold.

....It's more fun talking to you guys about stuff than looking on a wiki.

    But I am le tired.

Also, to have a discussion on the subject I'd have to look up the facts there too anyway since I'm not caught up myself.

    Lol, it's cool.

Nah, my favorite movie of all time is Mortal Kombat (1995). It's cheesy as all get out, but it has techno, fighting, and the best Sonya Blade portrayal ever.

... there are no words to describe how confused I am by your visual tastes. You love MK95 but have no desire to see BB, TWD, or HoC. All I can conclude is you love cheese, or have been trolling us this whole time, in which case I tip my hat.

On the note of you liking the techno and fighting of MK95, and you being female, I'd love your impressions on ME!ME!ME!.

It's interesting; what constitutes a "Proper Citizen" in both Psycho Pass and Ergo Proxy seems identical. A lot of anime do social commentary on inhibition and passivity in Japanese society and culture, huh?

I think its because of the disparity between the old imperial Japan - very proper and formal, where the women were demure and the men were full of honor - and the new Japan full of bright colors and extreme social liberties. Note how in both the passive is enforced and considered the bad side, whereas those who fight against control are the protagonists.
