So, LotV is getting closer and closer (Beta should hit us by July). I would like to know who is still out there playing SC2 after all this time. You can pick more than one option.

Occasionally mess around with custom games with Extension mods.

Since I got a Masters AT going, I've been playing again. For RT though, the MMR has fucked me over about as painfully as the singleplayer.
Fuck Blizzard.

Yes, while the story has its bad moments, I still believe the gameplay of WoL is really cool. On the other hand, HotS has some missions that are painful to play. I play HotS for the achievements, but as monthly thing (yes, i'm still missing achievements on HotS).
That being said, I'm extremely excited about the LotV campaing. It's a stand alone game, again. They are following WoL's blueprint. More units. They are pulling out really cool map mechanics. Story will be ok or bad, but I'm almost sure i'll replay the campaign.

To be fair, I haven't quit playing the single-player for the game play. I just haven't gotten in the mood to replay it yet. For the game play, I plan to play the single player at least a few mores times before I die, but maybe only a few, y'know, cus story.
And I'm still "aware" of the coming release of LotV. I say aware because I'm not really excited nor do I simply not care. I want to be released, so I can get what enjoyment I can out of it, but that's about it. Basically another decent game release to me.
Rest In Peace, Old Friend.

To be fair, I never played SC2. Just saw let's plays online. It's hard to get a game when I know the story is so terrible. That, and I'm a huge cheapskate.
The problem with the Zerg as they now exist is that they have no interesting characters left. I personally didn't find the Overmind all that compelling, but he's better than Dehaka. Zasz is of course dead, along with most of the cerebrates. Not like they got much characterization anyway. The brood mothers are...criminally stupid or something, Dehaka is pointless, Izscha isn't interesting, and Abathur, nice as he is, doesn't have a backstory that would make him compelling in a long-term sense. He's a side flavor character, which is nice, but not enough to really make the Zerg interesting.
