1 Corinthians 13:11
Standard MacHall Version:
![]()
Aaand sold.
Be it through hallowed grounds or lands of sorrow
The Forger's wake is bereft and fallow
Is the residuum worth the cost of destruction and maiming;
Or is the shaping a culling and exercise in taming?
The road's goal is the Origin of Being
But be wary through what thickets it winds.

Pretty sure the only ones that take this Eco vs Squibb thing seriously, are people who are not either of us.

You put on a good effort hiding that then; you two love making arguments with eachother. I have other things on my priority to watch in terms of TV, but I'll add Avatar to the list; although it seems like a show intended for only kids. I'd rather go sit and watch Akira or Ghost in Shell again than watch dumbed down material.

Mm, it's not necessarily just for kids. I loved Avatar, and enjoyed Legend of Korra even more, which appealed to a broader audience. Three of the things I loved were the accurate portrayal of martial arts, the philosophical musings, and character development. These three factors had a far greater focus in Korra. Not to mention it's just plain funny.I have other things on my priority to watch in terms of TV, but I'll add Avatar to the list; although it seems like a show intended for only kids.
People get so caught up in what is and isn't "mature" and "adult" to do and watch. You know what is adult? Doing what you love, heedless of others' perception of you. You can like kid stuff AND adult stuff. Don't take life too seriously, you won't get out alive.

ATLA was masterpiece.
LoK was disappointing for the most part. The biggest problem was that it wanted to tackle mature issues but it never tackled mature issues. Like when they brought up issues of inequality in the first season, they didn't resolve it but just left it after the good guy beat up the bad guy.
So overall LoK tried to be a more mature show than ATLA but it failed to do so. Thus ATLA is better in my book because although it's mroe childish, it at least succeeded in what it was trying to do.

I'll just take y'alls word for it. I'm not at all tempted to watch any Avatar show.
I did watch Hunter X Hunter recently, though. The first season was great, but every season after that feels like a massive setting/tone change, as if the writer is trying to write a completely different story that happens to star familiar characters. There's almost no building on old setpieces, to boot.

It's supposed to be like that. It's a lot worse if you read the manga. The manga author writes about 10-20 chapters and then goes on hiatus for about a year or more. Then he comes back, write 10-20 chapters and the goes on hiatus again. By the time he comes back from his hiatus, you'll have trouble remembering where the story left off.

I still stand by my belief that Azumanga Daioh is the greatest anime/manga of all time.
