Mostly. I did not expect Amon to be able to corrupt the Khala. I was thinking only the LINK to the Khala

Lurkers making a comeback isn't surprising. They never should have gotten rid of them to begin with.

As for the campaign...Uran and Mohander were surprisingly non-existent. Would rather know about them than what looks to be the Protoss versions of Izsha and Abathur.
Given what happened to Shakuras, it's likely they were killed, along with most of the remaining Hierarchy. This would explain why Vorazun had to take over as Matriarch of the Dark Templar.

Artanis is either using Zeratul's Master Blade or an exact duplicate of it. What does that mean for Zeratul himself? Given Zeratul's "My life for Aiur!" line, I'm afraid he might be following in Deckard Cain's footsteps.
That part? If Artanis killed Zeratul, it's because he was displeased with him helping Kerrigan in HotS and everything. It'll be a while before Artanis sees otherwise.

Yeah but we've never seen Protoss have beards before in the SC series, it seems strange to introduce it now.

Seems like the best time to expand on protoss aesthetics and lore on the contrary. I like the different armor and clothing of the protoss walking through the hall way in the "intro" cinematic to the spear of adun.

As for speculation regarding Artanis and Zeratul...it seems plausible that Zeratul would sacrifice himself to save Artanis. Zeratul doesn't regard himself with high esteem and knows better than to think he, the outcast that he has become can unite the tribes. But what he can do is help set Artanis on the path that would lead him to saving their people.

Zeratul's sacrifice is fine. Sometimes it takes the right person to die to knock another one to his senses.

Isn't it a bit tiring, the whole sacrificial death thing? It's been done a lot already in Blizzard stuff.

It's hard to get excited about this trailer. It's mostly just some action shots done up with tired, reused lines. And it was really distracting how the zealot attack sound was played any time a 'Toss activated a psi blade. Selendis' new armor is awful. Those circle things are going to dig into her face if anything hits her helmet. Ouch.

The saddest part for me was probably Artanis. He was a really sweet guy in BW, like a lower-ranked person trying his hardest to fill a role too big for him. I don't like seeing him turned into "generic inspirational leader" man. Though I don't have a problem with him being a main character. Zeratul is very independent and alone, so by hanging out with Artanis, we get to see more of protoss society.

Sacrifices have to be made for the story to progress. That being said, Blizzard has a tendency to make sacrifices pointless. The BW's ending certainly seemed to be just that. HotS's ending wasn't as depressing, but it still made a lot of things in WoL pointless. Even the Media Blitz mission in WoL was rendered moot at the beginning of HOtS.

I read a review somewhere stating that Artanis comes across as a very compassionate individual, a quality lacking in both Raynor and Kerrigan. I'm hoping some of that youthful hope and naivety remains in LotV's Artanis.
    Aaand sold.

Be it through hallowed grounds or lands of sorrow
The Forger's wake is bereft and fallow

    Is the residuum worth the cost of destruction and maiming;
Or is the shaping a culling and exercise in taming?

The road's goal is the Origin of Being
But be wary through what thickets it winds.

Compassion can only go so far once you see so many of your people killed. This was exactly the case with Raynor after so many of the Raiders have been killed, all for nothing. Kerrigan too had to think all this over by the end of HotS, and had it really been worth it in the end.

I really don't see that, because she bore no compassion for anyone save Raynor.

For that matter, Raynor's pretty compassionate. He just shows it differently than Artie.
