Then you make a thread for just that, Retlo.

Yeah but even then it's still vague as to when that strike would begin, hence why Raynor was somewhat surprised in WoL when the invasion began for her to finish the job.

Ha, well obviously that would be her intent, yes, but it wouldn't be much of a story if there weren't any wrenches thrown in.
Char versus Skygeirr? I think Char. The Prophecy arc of Wings of Liberty pretty much ruined what suspense and thrill there could be out of discovering more about the Hybrids, for me at least. If the Prophecy arc didn't exist, then Skygeirr would have had my vote.
It's incredible how they've got this classic escalation with Dark Origins, Piercing the Veil and Skygeirr, with allusions connecting it to the rest of the story in stuff like The Moebius Foundation or some of Kerrigan's dialogue in Heart of the Swarm, all competently done like professional storytellers, and they ruin it all with the Prophecy arc spoiling the reveal and killing the tension.
Zeratul: I have journeyed through the darkness between the most distant stars. I have beheld the births of negative-suns and borne witness to the entropy of entire realities...
Aldaris: Did not! That doesn't even make sense!
Zeratul: Shut up, I totally did!

I'm not really sure about the Piercing the Shroud Mission as an escalation. For most people who played that mission, they automatically assumed Mengsk had to be responsible for making the hybrid, though with outside help. HotS did nothing more than confirm it.
Now, on the other hand, if in HotS it was revealed that the hybrid at Castanar was something the Dominion did not make AT ALL, that's another story.

Okay.. probably Char, I like Stukov and all (more than one probably should 0_0) but as Rag had pointed out before, a couple of the missions were reminiscent to the original "Destroy the enemy base style thing" which is what I wished the "Destruction of Worlds" mechanic would've been.

See the 2nd Char mission wasn't CRAP, but the fact still remained that you had to play it a certain way. It gets a little annoying when you play it on Hard because the moment you destroy one Gorgon, Warfield will just call another one, meaning you have to start moving to the next Scourge nest right away.

No love for Zerus?
I guess everyone hated how Blizzard retconned it from an ash world into Jurassic Park.
I didn't mind as muchas others because I can see why Blizzard opted to alter its design. It was too similar to Char and they needed something different.

I couldn't vote. There wasn't an option for "none of the above" or "the one I wrote in my head."

Skygeirr. Quite frankly I've had enough of Char. At this point lore-wise, there's no reason to ever go back to that dirtball.Originally Posted by RetlocLive
