    Seems like what I do. I tend to make outlines and write paragraphs and such using various keywords as topics organized within the framework of that outline. Works well for allowing my thoughts to flow freely without being hampered by constantly reorganizing, but it does make it a bit harder to organize the various concepts into a single coherent narrative. I haven't organized it in a long time so my massive collection of ramblings would probably mesh together to form several stories instead of just one, even if possibly under the same universe. That's not a problem for me though, since, at the moment, all of it is just an exercise in brain usage and I have no particular plans to turn it into anything.

    I've amassed quite a nice collection of text documents of decent size. I wonder if any of it is any good

    The trouble with too much outlining and worldbuilding notes is that it can take a life of its own, and you stop working on the story you intended all of it for.

    That's why I don't organize it or do anything with it. Just record the creative flow under some general key words and the like.

    See, I have the exact opposite problem. If i don't have an established world -- history, architecture, political upheaval and extrinsic motivation -- then it's difficult for me to make a character DO or aspire to anything!

    Aaand sold.

    Be it through hallowed grounds or lands of sorrow
    The Forger's wake is bereft and fallow

    Is the residuum worth the cost of destruction and maiming;
    Or is the shaping a culling and exercise in taming?

    The road's goal is the Origin of Being
    But be wary through what thickets it winds.

    My biggest writing issue is that I'm a builder and not an architect. I'm much better at fleshing out something and making it functional than I am creating something new from scratch. Writing for an established universe with its physical and societal laws is easy. Building that universe up from its atoms is hard, especially when it seems everything has already been done and true uniqueness is rare to find.

    I am the exact opposite. I hate being hindered by someone else's work.

    Demo, we need to partner up. I've got too many ideas to possibly make them all work.

    I take it that by builder you mean "INTJ", right? Or were you being more generic?

    I can work with someone else's work, or my own. It's fun either way.

    I'm an INFJ. I was just being generic. I'm good at finding problems and fixing them. I'm an "editor," you could say.

    And I can illustrate it!
