Thread: Why was Hanson mad that you cleansed Haven?

    I never really saw the point of that timeline. It makes the player feel they made the right choice no matter what they choose, Hanson's about as interesting as a breadstick and looks like an upgraded Sims character, and the whole Zerg cure thing was just a way for the writers to yank our chains. Now, if she was infested the whole time no matter what we chose, then the cure would have been a fun deception.

    It certainly would have fit the grimmer and darker setting anyways, that the whole time you just THOUGHT you were doing the right thing, whereas in reality you just did the exact opposite.

    That's probably the theme Blizzard will do for LotV's ending.

    The way I reasoned it was that, while the uninfested terran colonists were all behind your barricades on Meinhoff, the same was not true on Haven. Perhaps the Infested and Uninfested were more evenly distributed across the planet, making purification an indiscriminate weapon of murder.
    Aaand sold.

    Be it through hallowed grounds or lands of sorrow
    The Forger's wake is bereft and fallow

    Is the residuum worth the cost of destruction and maiming;
    Or is the shaping a culling and exercise in taming?

    The road's goal is the Origin of Being
    But be wary through what thickets it winds.

    You can argue that. After all, by the time the Meinhoff infestation was burned out, both Raynor and Hanson thought there were no more Zerg spores until Selendis told them there were.
