I just hope they read some of the WoL feedback in time for the LoTV story to not be as awful. Would be pretty unfortunate if the entire story was set in stone from day one.
But seriously, Metzen needs to retire and/or hand over the reins to somebody who doesn't act like he's on vacation all the time.

Gradius, do you know just how much time Metzen actually looked over in the SC1 manual? Because back when Einjarhar and I talked this over, he said the guy spent like 30 min or so, maybe even less.
This is why almost the whole manual seemed to have been disregarded in the SC2 trilogy.

I wonder how much of it he actually wrote. James Phinney is the guy that's known for his lore manuals.

The leaked HotS (not long after Wol's release) showed us that the story was more or less set for quite some time before HotS was actually release. I don't think this will be any different.
Man, someone needs to get in touch with this guy to get an interview on his actual contributions to Starcraft and what his thoughts on Sc2/what he would have done storywise, had he still been involved.
Yes, that's right! That is indeed ME on the right.

First post here. Long time listener, first time caller.
I'm taking a wild stab here, I've had this hunch for a while. They are going to reveal tons of LotV info at Gamescom as they did with Reaper of Souls. I think the wait for LotV isn't going to be as long as HotS, they're going to release it next year, perhaps a beta later this year. I don't think Blizzard can afford waiting to release LotV in 2016. And with the campaign allegedly completely, they're surely not sitting on it for the competitive scene when the scene itself is really eagerly awaiting changes to some of the problems with SC2 presently.
It's either that, or they reveal a short teaser at Gamescom with more info at Blizzcon. Regardless, I'm 90% certain LotV will be at Gamescom in some fashion.

Oh that makes sense, I'll wait until Aug to find out. I'm more curious where the SC series will go AFTER LotV....

SC3 will be delayed because of WW3. Just wait and see if you're even alive after that before you start getting interested in SC3. Of course, I'm sure that, even with all of the real-life experiences to come out of that event, Blizzard will still find a way to make a completely irrelevant story with nothing to say.
