Sonic: [dressed as a cop] Let me speak to the driver.
Grounder: I'm not driving. He is!
Scratch: No I'm not.
Sonic: Driving without a driver? Now you're really in for it.
Sonic: You know? I sure have fun.

Maybe they'll just make him leave his site. I don't see that shutting Armory down unless it's a one-man operation.

Well currently the Armory is a one man operation, there are some moderators, but Gear is the only admin there and he does everything alone, well if he has to abandon the armory i don't think the armory will exist after that, since nobody knows how to work with the code he has done, since it is custom and he made the site code from scratch, he is a really skilled program coder, and also has about 4-6 different sites that he made from scratch, and he also makes codes on demand for other sites and customers.
Well we will see how it goes.

Remember back when we got a fresh batch of Zerg screenshots and we got our first look at the Zerg Overlord and the ice tileset?
One fansite posted the screenshots just a few minutes or something before the embargo date. I can't remember which one it was, but wasn't it the armory? :P

I don't see why SC2A going down would reduce the amount of competition we receive.

It's just PHP code. I know of at least 3 people associated with this site alone fully capable of adopting and managing the site after some basic examinations. Not that I'm proposing that a solution, I'm just saying that juggling programmers happens all the time in our field, and can easily be handled by anybody with a knack for the language and semantics.
The creative component is the challenging part since that's not something you can teach others but rather is an innate talent.
But still, I'm pretty sure Blizzard has always mandated those employed by Blizzard cannot be affiliated with a fansite. That's been the case for at least 10 years now.
