    Default Blizzard's Game Engine(s)?

This is a doubt I've had long ago but my searching didn't led up to something and maybe you have more insight (or know how to search better):
What is the name of the game engine that Blizzard used for Starcraft II? Is it the same they used for Diablo III or Warcraft III? In what language is/are it/they based? Where can I find more about its capabilities and more technical details?

StarCraft II, Diablo III and Warcraft III all have different structural engines developed by Blizzard.

    So far I know:
-StarCraft II video card compativility is "Pixel Shader 2.0"
-StarCraft II and Diablo III have a Havok Physics based engine.
-File I've used before to work on maps and figure stuff out:
--Chapter05 Dominic Filion and Rob McNaughton

That's not a lot, but it's pretty much everything I've found over the years. I believe Blizzard works a lot with C++ and that's the language used for their engines, but that's a wild guess. Evidence that supports my claim are some scripting in C on the editor and some patterns among their programers.

    Yeah I think it's custom-made.

IIRC, I think I remember hearing that the SC2 engine was built on the WarCraft 3 engine in the same way that the COD engines are built on Quake 3 engines.

I can't remember where I heard that but given that I used to post a lot of news here, I assume it was a valid source or I would've ignored it I don't know if that really matters though.

    Rest In Peace, Old Friend.
