Malthiel: Yeah? Well, I got infinity x 2.
Diablo: Yeah? Well, I got infinity x 5.
Malthiel: Yeah? Well, I got infinity x 10.
Diablo: Yeah? Well, I got infinity x 100.
Malthiel: Yeah? Well, I got infinity x 1000.
Diablo: Yeah? Well, I got infinity x 10000.
Nephilim: *smack* I got infinity x infinity bitches.
Diablo: *cries* I'M TELLING THE TEACHER!!!
Blizzard's storytelling does have a ring of playground drama, doesn't it? Kind of like those episodes of Recess everyone (should've) watched as a kid. Can't wait to see who ends up pushed in the mud and who gets the mostest time outs.

If angels can fall, maybe demons can rise. I want to see hideous demon Leah crushing skulls.

Why didn't the reaper angel guy kill Tyrael?
Is this the first time Blizzard has put plot-induced stupidity in an opening cinematic? I hope Tyrael is killed off screen or there's a good reason why he's left alive. I mean he's mortal now.

Let me amend my opinion on the trailer. The CGI is beautiful and the shots are great. There's even subtle detail in the lighting coming from within Black Soulstone, when it is raised by Malthael, that invokes Diablo's face. I'm just not sure why I'm not particularly struck by this trailer, unlike most Blizzard CG trailers. :\
Aaand sold.
Be it through hallowed grounds or lands of sorrow
The Forger's wake is bereft and fallow
Is the residuum worth the cost of destruction and maiming;
Or is the shaping a culling and exercise in taming?
The road's goal is the Origin of Being
But be wary through what thickets it winds.

Did you play Diablo 3? Probably that's why. It takes some time to recover from that. When I first saw the cinematic reveal, I watched it 100 times and it blew me away every time. Then I played the game and I feel nothing like that again. It's hard to connect with something you can't get excited about because you know it's probably not going to be any dfifferent than last time.
