Because, during the 99.9% of my continued life as a spirit possessing a machine, I'd like to converse with people and have them able to think of me as more than a machine. A face helps with that.Um why? So it can get blown apart and you can spend the rest of the battle looking like a chicken with its head cut off?
Besides, face damage can be repaired after the battle.

Faces help people relate to other people. Things that don't have faces aren't considered as personable as things that do.You dont need a face to converse with people.

To other Dark Templar, yes.I am a deadly warrior from an ancient race, scion of an outcast tribe whose very existance is isolation and whose only comfort is the cold psionic energy drawn from the most remote depths of space.
And im worried about not appearing personable?
And since when was the "very existance" of the Dark Templar "isolation"? I mean, the Dark Templar as a whole are isolated from the other Protoss. But they do hang out together. They had a planet and community and everything.
Even if what you say is true and DTs spend most of their time alone, they would prize even more the time they spent with others. If you're alone 90% of the time, you're probably going to put a face on your mech to make sure it doesn't become 95%.

Youll probably just find something to argue with this but
http://www.starcraft2.com/features/p...arktemplar.xmlThe exiled protoss wandered far before eventually making a new home on the twilight world of Shakuras. They developed a solitary and independent culture, with individuals often widely scattered across space in their own ships, exploring and contemplating the mysteries of the universe.

The Dark Templar still live in family groups -- clans.

On the topic, regarding gameplay, does anyone know if the Dark Templar is invisible while warping in, or can opponents fire on it during the warp-in phase?
