...and you also know how to give me nightmares through that mouse's visage.

Speaking personally though, I'm kind of...meh. While those who lost their jobs have my sympathies, I can't say I have any particuarly deep investment in the games the company produced. Certainly I enjoyed the Battlefront and Rogue Squadron games, but...

Well, like I said, meh. Or mixed. On one hand, Disney's running a business. That means getting out products, getting profits from those products, then using those profits to make more products, and so on. A cycle that Lucas Arts hasn't had much success with in recent years. On the other, I don't see why said products (e.g. 1313) have to be arbitrarily canceled as a result. It's become clear that Disney has its own vision for the Star Wars universe, what with swapping out The Clone Wars for another show for instance, and it's clear that the sequel trilogy has no intention of referencing the EU. I know change isn't bad by default, but...

Anyway, musings over. Time for bed, and to pray to the Force that Micky doesn't haunt my dreams.

The shutdown is having something of a ripple effect, effecting Industrial Light and Magic.

As an artist, it's just a shame to me to see so many good artists and animators be scattered to the winds like this.
    Aaand sold.

What country/state are they based in? That'll have a large effect on how quickly they can get new jobs.

    San Fran, California, apparently.

George Lucas is somewhere being really sad, right now. I'd say part of what moved him to sell StarWars to Disney was the hope of his work to flow on.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure he's absolutely depressed rolling around in a pile of cash somewhere...
Yes, that's right! That is indeed ME on the right.
