StarCraft: Ghost Concept Art

Has anyone else seen this concept art for StarCraft: Ghost before? Also, Protoss Shadow Husk? That sounds like a cool unit.

This is pretty neat, though I'm glad some of these concepts never made it beyond this stage. The bulky "Shadow Husk" is just wrong. Speaking of which, I always thought it was a High Templar up til this point. I wonder if it might be a Khalai that dabbles in Void energies?

I wonder why Blizzard, with its outstanding art department, would hire outside freelance artists for conceptual designs? Same thing with their animatics -- they hired Third Floor Studios to do their cinematic animatics, and that's how the HotS ending got leaked. I'll probably understand when I finally break into the art field.

I'm afraid none of it's new to me, but it's still good to look at every now and again. His Spore Colony's great, and the protoss frill plates moving to emote was a fun idea.

A fan artist once made a rather nice 3D version of that infested marine concept of his, too. Years ago, of course.

In this case you can see it shows that his client was also Nihilistic Software, who Blizzard had outsourced, you know, the game part of SCG to; maybe that's just how Nihilistic operated back then. I have no idea for the animatic thing, though.

The Brain Spectre reminds me of Krang from Ninja Turtles.

It's not new, and much is on the wiki, but Felix's site "died". This made it hard to display the artwork.
