Hmm... there's talk of additional adjutants for all races. Personally, I'd like to have Tychus as an adjutant.

Blizzard ahs become a large and rigid company, compared to what they used to be. Among other things, this means that even though they nod doubt see and understand wishes from the community like this one, even if they agree with it, it becomes quite hard to implement; not only would this require additional voice-acting from one guy (and sound-team or w/e) but in order to be fair, regionalized voice-work would also be required. this makes for some significant costs im sure - costs that they dont have cover for really.

i wouldnt be surprised to see this option among other possibilities come with LotV, but id be very surprised to see any of it before then.

Did anyone else notice that Abathur's actor was the fourth person listed on the casting? Just after Helfer, Clotworhty and Harper. He really did an awesome work. His name is Steve Blum and apparently he's a well known voice actor among your fellow anglophones.

That aside, Browder is conservative. I'm not complaining, BTW. But he wouldn't release anything that doesn't work fine with the rest of the game.

Abathur speaks so slowly he would take too long to even say "nuclear launch detected". An extra gag sentence would make he take three times more to speak than the current advisor. Not really a problem, since it would be an option right... but that's not how Browder thinks. He's the guy who said that he wouldn't be making a casual 1x1 mode where you could use the campaign units because that "wouldn't be balanced and wouldn't feel like Starcraft"...

Yep, he is unanimously praised. Brood War fans like him as the first true Zerg character since the Overmind, even critics seemed to enjoy him. I've read threads on the French forum where people ripped the story apart very violently and ended with "there may be one good thing in all of that mess: Abathur".
Admittedly, I would switch my Zerg advisor to Abathur if given the chance.
