Should've pulled the tank line back behind the Widow Mines so they could lay some fire onto those Void Rays! Alas.

    That Nexus died, didn't it?
I've fought for the Terran revolution, I've seen the promise of the Protoss, and now I'm ready to join the might of the Swarm...

Depends on how long ago POC was cast and if the Marines pulled back or not. If the unit producing from the Gateway is a Stalker, the MSC stayed at a good range, POC was recently cast on the Nexus, and the Terran a-moved, the battle would have gone in Protoss' favor and the Nexus would live.

I (the Toss) went to counter him and he picked up the mines and laid them on the ramp to my main. I lost a few zealots that walked across the ramp, but I had two oracles that finished building soon after he burrowed them - so I removed the mines using Oracle's envision and Stalker's superior range. The Terran won the game with a push a few minutes later of Marines, Mines, and Thors.

I did not lose the Nexus. The Terran ran past the nexus and into my main. He gutted it, but using an oracle and my Mothership Core I was able to kill that force and that oracle I had in his main earlier and it took out most of his SCVs. Unfortunately he won with a push a few min later.

Looks like you fast expanded against a Terran, a mass marineing one no less.

    WTF?

On his stream I saw WhiteRa FE vs a Marine focused T and defend successfully, but it was on a map with a much easier choke to hold. He basically used his first 100 gas for the MSC and let it charge energy for POC and TW, while pumping pure Zealot from his Gateway. Then right before the Terran attack pumped out two Sentries, and sacrificed them for 3 FF to stop the Marines from retreating/microing down the ramp away from the Nexus while his Zealots and POC killed them. In the end every unit in the battle died, but WR had his expo up much faster then the Terran and had a way superior economy going into the midgame. It was really impressive.

HotS PotD #4: The Protoss harassing their enemy's mineral line using the Oracle's new Pulsar Beam ability/attack!

...the Pulsar Beam ability looks really cool. How is the new Void Ray working out, or has it been properly altered yet?

The new Void Ray works really well. It allows you yo use skill by rewarding you when you activate it vs armored, and punishes players who lack the skill to use it properly. This allows me to use it well and me to win some engaments vs those who use it poorly.

While the old Void Ray rewarded those who had the skill to charge it on buildings, or rocks, or other units before engaing - or the skill to keep charge by targeting your own units - or the skill to target enemy units that won't die before the charge is aquired during battle; it was much more difficult to do and the reward was powerfull vs all units not just armored.

So in both cases the reward scaled properly to the level of skill required, but in HotS its much simpler and I think that in this specific situation it's better because the player gets a little more control of the unit, and imho the more control you have over a unit the better.

I love the look of the Pulsar Beam ability/attack - but I think it should be removed from the game. I think it should be replaced with Time Warp and that should be used to harass mineral lines.

I don't mind Pulsar Beam, it could be way more interesting but at least its viable.

Now, the Oracle having both Envision and Revelation? THAT'S fucking pointless.

Can't we have Time Warp instead of either Envision or Revelation?
