Canada has produced many great and many terrible actors and musicians, just like the US. If you didn't know Beiber was Canadian it just shows you don't pay attention to pop culture. Not only that, but it shows you are also willing to assume talentless hacks are automatically American, showing you have a lack of patriotism, not a surplus.

Because the US has 10 times Canada's population, you're 10 times more likely to produce bad artists, which is evident you have. So Phazon, if anyone's lost clout on the issue, its you.

Popular music sucks in every country.

Popular music isn't(wasn't) always bad. Not a fan of the 60's but 70/80's pop is good. Even 90's pop is mostly good. It started being bad in 2000 and went absurdly atrocious in 2010. Wayyyyy too much dubstep/rap/garbage. See I don't mind stuff like Gotye or Muse but for every passable artist there's like 1827360417634 florida, taylor swift, kesha, bieber etc. And they need to gtfo(and give me their money).
