OWS got it wrong. I'm all about changes and hating on the ''1%'' but please, do it smartly for christ sake. They don't have specific demands and without specific demands, nothing is ever gonna get done. The worst part in this is that there are actually people in that movement that protest against other members specifying the demands. Damn hippies...

Anyways. What Gradius said. You Americans need a new voting system, seriously(not saying ours is a lot better). See: http://rangevoting.org/ for a start.

Look, we all know that Jesse Ventura is the true messiah and that the Democrips and Rebloodlicans are two sides of the same bullshit coin on many issues, but at least Obama isn't a rapist.

*sigh* I mean the richest people having the loudest voice.
    *sigh*

So, you're one of those fools that blindly hates the rich because you think it's all "other people's money"?

at least Obama isn't a rapist.
This is why you're so easy to annihilate in an argument.

Not exactly trying to sound particularly enlightened on the topic of politics, I do have to say that the biggest issue that our country is actually currently engaged in is that our economy is in the dumps. Obama hasn't done too much to really help us out in that department (if he has, it certainly hasn't begun to take hold).

Also, I do agree that our voting system needs a little bit of revamping. Being that the system is, of course, the one that was established back in the early 1800s.

    We have a winner here!

Except he has done a lot. He took the European way to handle a recession and made it last decades instead of a few years. Much easier on stability, much harder on the people. It takes a lot of effort to do the much mucking around.

    Squibb would be proud.

So, wait... he helped the economy... by stagnating it?

Not sure but I think you misunderstand my original statement.

I mean, I understand the prospect of extending a recession to help improve the immediate stability of the economy, that keeps us from going into a typhoon on the money side of things... That can be demonstrated by some simple geometry or graphing.

What I don't quite get is how this is our solution. As far as I can tell, this simply buys us time to come up with a proper solution, unless there's something else that I'm missing.
